This summer, my organization connected with Escape Tours and Rentals to ask if they would support us with an "Intro to Paddle Boarding" event (we work to reduce barriers to outdoor recreation and sport for marginalized individuals, families, and communities). Maria and her team were absolutely wonderful! They did everything they could to make this event possible for us. The guides at Escape are very knowledgeable and encouraging. Our participants had a blast!
The thing that would take Escape from "great" to "fantastic", would be more incorporation of the history and significance of Kichi Zibi (the Ottawa River) to the Algonquin Anishinaabeg. Our guide knew some interesting facts and history about the river, but it was a very colonial narrative. I think prioritizing Indigenous history of the area when guiding would make this experience even more incredible!
Would 100% return as part of my organization, but also as an individual with family and friends. Thank you, Escape Tours and Rentals! You rock!

Had the best time kayaking with my partner! It was such a smooth process as well and very beginner friendly. Grant and Nate were kind and welcoming. They were so helpful in briefing and assisting us. Would 100% rent with them again!

We went kayaking on a sunny afternoon. It was so beautiful and enjoyable! The guide was very experienced and gave us a lot of fun facts about the city. I would definitely go back again!
